Economic Justice for Women

Centre for Women Justice Uganda aim, is to economically empower women and girls. This project equips women with skills in financial literacy; establish business startups and vocational studies. Women’s equality and empowerment is SDG No. 5 is one of the 17 sustainable Development Goals. Economic empowerment puts girls and women in a stronger position and gives them the agency to make decisions that promote their own health and wellbeing. Economic empowerment of women enhances their ability to have a choice in decision-making processes like marriage and pregnancy. Economic empowerment ensures women have resources and skills to improve their economic status and move out of poverty. Girls and women can decide on how to utilize their income and other resources. We also advocate for better labours laws, programs and policies that prioritize women that promote full realization of women and girls economic empowerment.
